Please note: Grant applications are given by invitation only after a conversation with a CWC representative. Applications are not posted on this website. This is a competitive initiative. Not all congregations who apply will be selected.

Are you a congregation or nonprofit in the state of Indiana?

Grants are awarded to Christian and Jewish congregations, or a Community Development Corporation (CDC) originating from that congregation in the state of Indiana.

Who will you partner with?

Congregations must partner with community entities (non-profits, businesses, etc.) to address a challenge/opportunity in the community. We can help you discover a match if you do not already have one.

What issue will you address?

In collaboration, congregations and their community partners must address ONE challenge/opportunity in the community.

What is the grant amount?

Grant requests range from $100,000 – $250,000. Congregations/community partners will be responsible for contributing to their program. Developing a program budget, scope, and goals for impact will be important in this process.

Who will make up your team?

Congregations and community partners must develop a team of at least three to five people to provide direction for the program.

Applying for a Congregations with Community grant is more than submitting an application. Our team is here to guide you through each step of the process and help position your partnership for success.

1. Review the Grant Requirements

Confirm that your congregation and community partner meet the eligibility requirements and understand the grant expectations.

2. Attend an Information Session

Learn about the grant opportunity, application process, and what to expect throughout the grant cycle.

3. Meet with a Community Engagement Advisor

Meet one-on-one with a Community Engagement Advisor (CEA) to discuss your partnership, explore your community opportunity, and prepare for the application process.

4. Receive Your Grant Application

After completing the required steps above, eligible applicants will receive an invitation to complete the grant application.

5. Submit Your Application

Complete and submit your application by the published deadline.

6. Grant Review & Award Notification

Applications are reviewed by the Grant Review Team. Applicants will be notified of award decisions according to the published grant schedule.
